Terms of use

These terms apply when you use Curiofoil, the website and app at this address ("the service"). By using it you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who can use it

You need to be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you and agree to them.

Prices and card information

Market prices come from TCGplayer data, refreshed daily, and card details come from TCGdex. Some values are estimates, for example when a printing has no recent sales. Prices can be late, incomplete or wrong, and what a card actually sells for depends on its condition and the buyer. Curiofoil is for keeping track of your own collection. It isn't financial, investment or insurance advice, and you shouldn't rely on it alone to buy, sell, trade or insure cards.

Your collection and your account

You own what you enter. We only use it to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy.

Data saved in your browser can be lost if you clear your browser data, switch devices or something goes wrong on our side. Export a CSV from Settings now and then as a backup. We aren't responsible for lost data.

If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Fair use

Please don't:

• try to get around rate limits, overload the service, or download its price data in bulk;
• access other people's accounts or data, or probe the service for weaknesses without our permission;
• use the service to break the law or to harm anyone.

We may limit or suspend access for anyone who does, to keep the service working for everyone.

Free now, paid features later

The service is free today. We may add optional paid features later. We'll describe them and their price clearly before you can buy anything, and features that are free when you start using them won't be removed from free use without notice.

Links and affiliate links

The service links to other sites, such as stores and price guides. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them. Some links to stores may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy something, at no extra cost to you. This never changes the prices or values the app shows.

Trademarks

Curiofoil is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures, Game Freak, TCGplayer or TCGdex. Pokémon, card names, set names and card images belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify cards.

Changes and availability

We're improving the service all the time, so features may change, and we may pause or end the service. If we plan to shut it down, we'll give you notice so you can export your collection. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or trades, arising from your use of the service. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, which for the free service is nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Ending your use

You can stop using the service at any time, delete your data in Settings and ask us to delete your account. We may close accounts that break these terms.
